I once had a job on the Calmore Industrial Estate. The company I worked for sold some very high end cast iron baths. They each

weighed about 400 kilos and every time we sold one of these very expensive items, my co-workers and I used to dread it because it involved a lot of physical lifting to get them from the warehouse and onto the delivery truck.

Unfortunately the people who bought these cast iron baths were often perfectionists. Virtually all of the baths had a slight blemish and more often not, the baths would be rejected and so we workers were forever taking them on and off lorries before one was finally… More
