Town Planners Consider Climate Change
It’s encouraging to see the issue of climate change now being discussed at Town Council level.
Credit, in this case, to Cllr. Caroline Rackham who Chairs the Planning Committee of Totton & Eling Town Council.
The authority acts in a largely non political way.
It’s really important that the grass roots level of local government is thinking about how the town can reduce its’ carbon footprint.
Members of the public are welcome to attend and even ask questions, but you need to arrive in time for a prompt start at 19.15pm on Wednesday, 4th December.
For new visitors, the Council Chamber is located in the Civic Centre Building, Totton.
Just walk through the automatic doors and up the stairs to the first floor Council Chamber.
(There is also a lift available).

TOTTON CAR PARKING CHARGES Well that's it… the long running agreement that lasted over two decades, providing free car parking in Council run car parks in Totton Town Centre seems to be no more. BAT ALERT I have had contact from a member of Hampshire Bat Care group who informs me that there seems to be bats roosting in the former Testwood Club building, Salisbury Road, Totton. The building has been purchased by New Forest District Council who, I understand, plan to demolish the building and develop housing on…
