Totton’s Red Cross Mobility Aid Centre

Red Cross Totton
Red Cross Totton

I am sure many of you will be aware of the excellent Red Cross mobility aids centre, located near Totton Health Centre.

It’s run by volunteers who service the needs of hundreds of people, lending out equipment that helps them get about or live in a bit more comfort.

A gentleman contacted me today asking to help.

He told me that the facility is set for closure on October 12th.

Apparently, it is due to an increase in the rental that Red Cross are being asked to pay.

At this stage, I don’t know who owns the building and have agreed to see if I can find out and try and halt the closure.

He has put together this petition which I have agreed to publicise in the hope that if enough people show they value it, then something might be done to prevent closure.
