I don't know whether it is due in part to the feedback I gave Hampshire County Council about the situation at Marchwood Tip and problems many people have had getting a slot booked. However, I am just pleased to see that, after two weeks of trialling the scheme, they have changed it, to allow more slots and more advanced booking.
It must be increasingly obvious to the Authority that the more difficult they make things for people to use the tip, the more fly tipping we are going to see.
I don't in anyway condone what is happening and anybody caught fly tipping should be prosecuted and face a very heavy fine as well as confiscation of their vehicle.
Please continue to give me feedback as to how things are going at Marchwood, good or bad. The Conservative administration does respond to pressure, albeit somewhat reluctantly and too slowly.
