Things I Don’t Like About Black Friday

It’s yet another unwelcome import from the USA. (Everything we get from Europe is great but from the US, usually it is just trashy).

It just encourages consumerism and the “throw away” society…. do you really need a bigger TV screen?

Just like Firework night, it started off as one day in November and now extends for about two weeks…

I am getting my e-mail box filled up with “Black Friday Deals”.

I didn’t solicit any of these and have no intention of buying any bloody stuff.

I am even being offered black Friday deals on things like airport parking… really?

I cannot share in the apparent enthusiasm that makes some people want to join long queues before the department store opens.

I am thinking of promoting a “Buy Nothing Day” as a response.

What do you think. Am I being a miserable git?
