Testwood Lane Parking Restrictions

You may wish to share this with anyone who lives in the Testwood Lane area or drives to Testwood School.

New Forest District Council are proposing to restrict car parking at junctions off of Testwood Lane and surrounding areas.

It is being done for highway safety reasons.

Obstructions near junctions often lead to accidents, a serious worry, especially near schools.

Of course, the details are important and I am aware that many people will be unaware of what is being proposed.

Very few people see or read the advertised notices and are often unaware that they can object until after the consultation phase has expired.

Here is the link to the NFDC website page, where you can see all of the detailed proposals.

The Council has a legal duty to consider any objections before seeking to implement the schemes.

Looked at plans for Testwood Lane junctions which to me will only push the traffic further up the lane and cause more problems for residents.. I also feel that by Testwood place junction the lines should go further along as the parking by people who leave their cars there well they go to work will only move further up the lane. Unfortunately parents don’t have any consideration for the residents as it is not only school start and finishing times we have all the problems at weekends as well.
