Sunday With The Blues

During the game - The Blues won!
During the game

I enjoyed a wonderful day out, courtesy of two friends, Martin and Alison Cottle, who invited me to join them to watch a top Ladies Football match, Chelsea v Arsenal, played at the Kingsmeadow Stadium, Wimbledon.

It was a great game, a very high standard of competitive football, ending in a 3-2 victory for the blues.

It was so nice to experience a football match played in a very sporting way, with no malice at all towards opposing supporters or the referee.

I didn’t hear a single swear word uttered the entire day.

If you get a chance to see women play football, I thoroughly recommend it.

There were lots of families enjoying the match.
