Dog Owners To Fight Move For Forest Clamps
Dog Owners To Fight Move For Forest Clamps

I know headlines are often misleading. This one suggests that all dog owners are opposed to any restrictions being placed upon them in the New Forest.

I don’t believe this is the case.

I think most local dog owners love the New Forest every bit as much as they love their dogs.

They wouldn’t like their activity to damage the New Forest in anyway.

I have, many times, witnessed a few irresponsible dog owners failing to exercise proper control and I suppose that, realistically, there will always be a small minority that don’t care.

However, I think the majority of dog owners will be concerned about things like protecting sites for ground nesting birds.

If we are to have a healthy New Forest, it may involve sacrificing a few things we might want to do.

As always interested in your views…..
