SUPER SOUTHAMPTON STUDENTS

I absolutely love it when young people show initiative and do things like the food waste collection project in Southampton.

This is a classic example of the younger generation showing the right sort of leadership. Frankly, what they are doing should really embarrass the Council.

I appreciate that it's harder to collect food waste at scale, across an entire city, but then Liberal Democrat controlled Eastleigh Borough Council have been doing this for over a decade.

There is still too much food being wasted but we really need to start collecting what is thrown away and put it to good use, as here.

I will be pushing New Forest District Council to up its' game. It has one of the worst recycling records in the country.
