SERIOUS FIRE HAZARD

This is a photograph of my friends garden fence on fire this morning. He lives close by to the A36 Salisbury Road at Wellow.

Big thanks to Hampshire Fire & Rescue who responded very quickly and extinguished the fire. However, it does highlight the risks.

Please think very carefully, if you are a smoker when out in the countryside or even travelling through it right now. It's also simply best not to have any BBQ's or use fire at all when out in these tinder conditions.

YE ANCIENT BUS SHELTER……

YE ANCIENT BUS SHELTER… This bus shelter is located just outside the home of Lord Montagu at Beaulieu. It has to be one of sturdiest bus shelters in the whole of the UK, if not the world. It’s a lovely feature.

Hunt for would-be thieves caught removing tiles from arts centre roof

AS IF THINGS WEREN'T DIFFICULT ENOUGH…… There are really no words to adequately describe the thieves who damaged the roof at Hanger Farm last week. Minstead Trust and the Town Council have hard the hardest of jobs dealing with the impact of Coronavirus. Of course, criminals never consider the impact of what they are doing,…

SUPPORTING CYCLING…

SUPPORTING CYCLING It's interesting to see that some of the more visionary authorities are doing practical things to support cycling by putting in things like bespoke cycle lanes and secure cycle racks. Portsmouth City Council have also started introducing new tyre pump and multi-purpose tool kits, (like this). It will be interesting to see if…

Council – 6 July 2020

COUNCIL MEETING ALL ON VIDEO If you want to watch a bit of debate and who asks questions and how they are answered, you can see the whole meeting on this You Tube link. I really welcome the new transparency. It never would have happened without the Corona virus, forcing them to adopt new working…
