Salmon Like Buses

I enjoyed a stroll around the Salmon Leap today.

It’s one of my favourite places for taking my camera.

As I reached the large bridge, I noticed three people fishing.

One of them had just caught a fish and was carrying it in his landing net.

Another was just in the process of catching a nice size salmon.

The third fisherman, watching on, got a bite and landed yet another fish!

I don’t know how long they had all waited this morning, but it does suggest that salmon are like buses… you wait for ages and they all come along at once.

It does suggest that the River Test is in pretty good condition and that “Sammy the Seal” hasn’t eaten them all…
