Safety work agreed at New Forest accident blackspot
GOOD NEWS FOR CYCLISTS
A big Thank You to officers at Hampshire County Council that have progressed this new safety scheme. It is really hard to get any major (or minor) changes to roads within the National Park area, (which has all sorts of special protection designations).
Another big Thank You to the Verderers who have given authority for the work to go ahead. It can be extremely difficult getting them to accept any such changes, but in this case, they have exercised good judgement.
MAJOR safety work at notorious New Forest junction Ipley cross look set to begin this autumn after the verderers gave the go-ahead for a land-swap.
