Recycling changes on the way

There is often a lot of confusion about what items will be accepted at the Household Waste recycling centres.

This link gives an up to date description.

You can see that as far as DIY activities are concerned, you can dump old wallpaper but they will make a charge for plasterboard.

It appears as though the rules are set to change again.

A lot of people are concerned about fly tipping and it seems the government are now listening and may, in fact, prevent Hampshire County Council from charging for DIY materials.

Unfortunately, the government have not yet specified exactly what items can be charged for and what items should be dumped free of charge.

A change in the law is required.

I will update you when I hear.
