Nine flats for Rumbridge Street

Looking at the plans
looking at plans

A new planning application has been submitted to New Forest District Council, to replace this old building with a development of nine flats.

It’s located in Rumbridge Street, on the corner with Junction Road, Totton.

Many of you will no doubt remember that this building used to have a popular fruit and veg. shop.

We all buy our supplies at Asda or Morrisons, or home delivery these days.

I think that a lot of people would like to see the end of this dilapidated old building.

However, is the new development nicely designed and in keeping with the street scene in such a prime site?

You can view the details by visiting the planning portal on the NFDC website.

The application reference is 18/10413.

As always, I am interested in what local people think about such plans.

I need to reserve judgement myself, as I am a member of the planning committee and need to keep an open mind.

But, I like to take account of other opinions….
