Hounsdown Head Has It Right

I agree with Hounsdown School’s Head Teacher, Julie Turvey, about the increasing threat of social media to children.

Certainly, parents should be exercising the greatest care over what children are doing and I think that there is an important role for schools to play in raising awareness of some of the risks.

Children are very vulnerable to manipulation and grooming.

I think the big tech. companies could also tighten up to try and make sure that children cannot have access to inappropriate material.

I have grand children and I really worry about what sort of dangers they face as they grow up.
