FOOD HAMPER SCANDAL…
FOOD HAMPER SCANDAL
There is growing evidence of an absolute scandal involving private companies that have secured government contracts to supply food hampers for people in desperate need, often unable to work because of the pandemic, with children to feed.
I have been contacted by a young Mum who calculates that the cost of the food she was given amounts to about £3.60p. Companies are pocketing up to £30 per hamper, care of taxpayer funded government contracts.
The hampers are nothing like what you might think of when the word "hamper" comes to mind. A lady who contacted me told me that it contained six slices of bread (not even a complete loaf) and that they had even split open a pack of ham slices to wrap a couple of slices in cling film…. very Covid secure.
I have referred her on to her local Conservative Councillor to investigate this matter. However, I would like to hear from anybody who lives in my patch who has experienced similar disappointment with a hamper that they received, please.
Message me privately with details. Photo's useful too! Thank you.

PERFECT POSE I have very limited technical knowledge when it comes to photography but I think there is such thing as having a “good eye” for a shot. Another blow to the Conservatives hopes of privatising the Health & Leisure Centres. Of course, the Conservatives have never asked the public what they think about handing over the management of the Health & Leisure Centres. When they set up a Liaison panel of users to look at the issue, the members of the users…
