Firm chosen to run New Forest leisure centres set to be revealed

The way democracy is supposed to work is that political parties tell you what they plan to do (in a manifesto) and if elected into office, then go about the job.
As with wheelie bins and spending £millions on concrete beach huts, introducing car parking charges, the Conservatives gave no indication at all to voters about what they planned to do with Health & Leisure Centres.
It's a consistent pattern of behaviour that is telling everyone "Now we are in power, we can do what we like and we simply don't care what you think".
Even when they do carry out a token consultation with a small user group or poorly advertised survey, they ignore what people say.
The gravest crime that the Conservative party commits is abandoning democracy itself. That is why it is a really bad idea to vote for anyone standing for the Conservative party.
