The Campaign For Better Transport has thrown its’ considerable weight and influence behind the project to open up the Waterside railway line for passenger transport.

Hampshire County Councillor, David Harrison, who represents Totton South and Marchwood, says “I am absolutely delighted that this organisation has identified the our local railway line as a priority for re-opening. I know they have strong links to government. This might be just about one of the last pushes we need to get things up and running”.

They have recently published a report on potential lines that could be re-opened, featuring the Fawley to Totton line as one of their top three priorities :
