Councillor Davod Harrison

Beware: Door Knocking Scammers are out in the area

front door

I am getting reports of strangers knocking on doors trying to sell artworks.

Be aware…. these people are definitely scammers.

They sometimes pretend to have a disability, such as deafness.

At other times, they spin a story about being a student and how hard they work on their art to fund their studies.

In almost every case the “artwork” isn’t original. It’s just a cheap copy that they hope to persuade you to buy.

My advice is to send them politely on their way.

It would be good if anyone can get photographs of them.

They are working the area right now.
