Another theft from a car
I just had a young lady contact me, asking that I share information about a theft on another Facebook site I manage.
Despite warnings in almost all New Forest car parks not to leave valuables in cars, she put her handbag and a “Harry Potter” purse in the boot of the car before walking away.
Surprise, surprise, both items were missing when she returned to the car.
She now thinks that the occupants of another car were watching as she did so and were probably the ones responsible for the theft.
I do feel sorry for the young lady and it is tempting to say she was exercising a lack of judgement on this occasion.
The real point though is that thieves are equipped to break into cars.
It only takes seconds and they know you are likely to be away for a while.
Remote New Forest car parks are easy pickings.
Don’t make the same mistake as this young lady!

I do get a lot of complaints about noise nuisance from lorry traffic, especially in areas where residents are living close by to sites such as Marchwood Industrial Estate and Eling Wharf.
