Councillor Davod Harrison

A tale of two councillors

I went and helped with campaigning in Pennington today, supporting the Lib Dem candidate, Jack Davies.

Last time I helped Jack there.. the result was a sensational draw, with Jack gaining the seat from the Tory candidate on the toss of a coin.

It would seem that the Tories are really worried about losing this District Council seat. I was surprised to find myself surrounded by five Tory activists at one stage this morning.

Tory Councillor, Michael Thierry, cheerfully agreed to participate in this friendly “selfie” with me.

The by-election results from the sudden resignation of Tory Councillor Penny Jackman (for reasons not revealed). Whatever the result, we will have to do it all again next May, when all the seats become vacant.
