Totton Remembers

Remembrance parade
Remembrance parade

It was, once again, a fantastic turn out for the Remembrance parade and service in Totton today.

There were some concerns, earlier in the year, about organising insurance for the event.

However, the Royal British Legion worked with local Councillors to sort out such issues and I was very happy to supply some funding for the large poppy displays on street light columns.

A very big thank you to everyone who took part in the event.

It is a solemn and respectful occasion but one that binds the community, marking our gratitude for all those who have served our country and the cause of democracy.
