Sandy Balls

Sandy Balls
I paid a visit to the famous Sandy Balls Holiday Centre today as a guest of the new owners.

It was a chance to find out about plans they have to upgrade the facilities. I was taken on a tour of the site. It is much bigger than most people imagine.

It’s 220 acres and includes some permanent residential properties, wood cabins, caravans, pitches for tents, pods and even some special luxury tents used for “glamping”.

I was able to discuss some of the features of the New Forest National Park with the new management team and try to steer them towards thinking about how their plans could contribute towards the New Forest environment.

They have some traffic management issues which could be much improved by better use of the site. It was a useful and positive meeting, giving me a greater insight into how their business works.
