Councillor Davod Harrison

Marchwood Pong

Over the years, I have had a few complaints from different residents about bad smells that have come from the sewerage works, located just outside, to the north of the village.

It’s an Environmental Health issue and something that New Forest District Council is aware of. It seems to be something that bothers some residents on some days if the wind is in the right direction.

If you are resident in Marchwood and are frequently bothered by this, could you let me know, please? You can private message me if you prefer.

It would be helpful to report that there are a lot of residents complaining about this issue. It might mean that we can persuade or even force Southern Water to take effective action.
