LibDem Victory on Tip Restrictions

A report going to committee at Hampshire County Council next week seems to confirm that the conservatives have finally got the message that further restrictions on opening hours at the Household Waste Recycling Centres would be unacceptable.

This is something have been campaigning on for over two years. Last year, I presented the Tory Executive Lead for The Environment, Cllr. Rob Humby with a petition of over 2500 signatures.

Thanks, once again, to all who signed and helped me gather all the signatures.

“It is very good news that the ruling conservatives have listened to us and now appear to have ruled out reducing the opening hours at the Household Waste Recycling Centres.

I know that local people very much appreciate these facilities and any restrictions are only likely to reduce recycling and lead to more fly-tipping”.
