Totton in Bloom Week – what a good idea! The suggestion was made to me by a local resident who returned one of the grumble sheets from a recent edition of the Liberal Democrat Focus.

Of course, we get a lot of complaints, which we are happy to try and address.

However, sometimes people come up with a good idea worth promoting.

I have already made a formal request that the idea is put on the agenda for the next meeting of the Policy & Resources Committee.

I see this as a great chance to get different sections of the community involved and working together.

It won’t matter if we don’t win any rewards, let’s just help organise what promises to be a popular event, one that will add a bit more colour to the town.
