It isn’t everyday you get to sit down and enjoy lunch with the Chairman of New Forest District Council, Cllr Christine Ward, but I did so today.

I was one of a number of people that was invited to this popular pub, to sample a few examples of the excellent pub grub they are serving up.

I have to say, I was very impressed by the menu and the quality of the food served up.

They have a new Chef, who we were pleased to meet, along with his staff.

It was good to hear that they source a lot of their food locally.

Give them a try when next you are looking for good pub food at reasonable prices.

They say “politeness costs nothing” and I have been particularly impressed by the standard of politeness and friendliness shown by the staff of three organisations in Totton recently.
