Celebrating Success

Hampshire Fire service celebrating success

I enjoyed a great night out, an awards ceremony called “Celebrating Success”, organised by Hampshire Fire Service to recognise the brilliant individual and team contributions that go towards making our local service the best in the world.

I was even given a certificate, recognising the 12 years I had worked with the Fire Authority.

I was rather saddened to leave when it was downsized earlier in the year.
There were many stories of dedication and commitment that far exceeded anything I had ever done.

One fire fighter had served at the same station for a total of 41 years, others had raised vast amounts for charity or had done fantastic things, over and above their job description, to support the local community.
