Butterfly Identification

I really like butterflies. I was lucky enough to spot these two that had settled down together for a brief second.

I only had my Iphone, so the picture quality isn’t great.

I am struggling to identify them but my web search suggests the name “Mourning Cloak”, which is a new name to me.

Does anybody recognise this species, or could put a more common name to them?

They are great to look at, whatever they are called….

    I think these are pearl bordered fritillaries. Nice shot, David. Where did you take it?
